On behalf of my fellow Army instructors and the Cadets of Falcon Battalion, welcome to Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps – one of the most successful youth programs in the world!
The East River JROTC Program was recently recognized as an Honor Unit of Distinction, the US Army’s highest JROTC unit award. This is a reflection of outstanding classroom instruction, a focus on the Cadet’s Grade Point Average (GPA) and mainly the Battalion's dedication and hard work.
JROTC is the only leadership model in Orange County that takes place in the classroom. Our program provides rank and position opportunities which provide our Cadets with leadership skills to include, but not limited to, our after school special teams, such as, Raiders, Drill, Marksmanship, and CyberPatriots. This focus helps prepare the Cadets of Falcon Battalion for life after they graduate high school.
Every Wednesday, the 335 Cadets of Falcon Battalion look sharp and proudly shine in their uniforms. On Thursdays, the same Cadets challenge themselves with our dynamic Physical Training (PT) program that encompasses nutrition, fitness, and fun.
Everything in Falcon Battalion starts with the Cadet’s GPA. Every promotion, leadership position, and special team includes a detailed review of the Cadet’s GPA. This focuses their attention towards their ultimate goal of graduating high school.
Thank you.
